The history of iOS

The tech giant Apple’s operating system, iOS didn’t have an official name until the release of the iPhone SDK in the year of 2006. They referred to their operating system’s version simply as OS X. At the very first, it was called iPhone OS. Then again, it was renamed as iOS in the year 2010.

The iOS 4.2.1 released in 2010 was made compatible with iPad which expanded the consumer base significantly. This iOS was initially released via. the iPad 2. This was the last version which was supported by iPhone 3G and iPod touch, 2nd generation.

iOS 7 arrives

Finally there was the king, the majestic iOS 9.0!
