Acer is a multinational hardware and electronics corporation, launched in the year of 1976 by Stan Shih, his wife and a group of five others. During launch, it was headquartered in Hsinchu city in Taiwan and would go on to include America, Australia, India, Indonesia as well as some countries in Europe as its countries of operation. Acer’s current market position is hardly satisfactory in the wake of company’s bad financial performance. Acer has been running Ubuntu, Linpus and Android in integration with XP as its operating systems.
